Until almost a decade since 2011 the official Currenc in the Netherlands Antilles, changed to the US dollar, when the florin was originally accepted as the national currency.

It is a small place in itself, and perhaps spending large amounts of money is not necessary, but it is advisable to make payments such as food, activities, tips and anything incidental may be necessary.

ATM Major Credit Cards Accepted and Banks to get some money and Cash Usage

There are ATM machines to get Currency in US Dollars where you can have cash in case it is necessary, although most of the establishments in this place already accept debit and credit cards such as mastercard, visa, Discover and others.

if necessary two banks are located on the Saba Island And both are located on Winward Side operating hours from 9 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.

These banks are the Royal Bank of Trinidad and Tobago and the First Caribbean International Bank

The best approach for a good shopping is to get to know the store owners; they are friendly and often willing to assist with special requests.

Sourcing fresh produce like fruits and meats can be challenging, as supplies heavily rely on ferries bringing goods from the mainland or larger supply hubs.

Therefore, it’s advisable to stock up early, especially for basics like beer or crackers.

Most grocery stores are conveniently located in or near the more populated areas, such as Windwardside and The Bottom, making them easily accessible on foot from most accommodations.

Pilots in order to be able to land in that strip should have a special training just to land in there, no major tragedies have occurred there but the over excitement of some passengers but that is part of the ride.

Airstrip Runway Length is the most Fun Landing

It is a very safe flight to this short Runway Length, so safe that it makes about 5 flights a day, and it is a short flight of about 12 minutes from Princess Juliana International in St. Maarten.

In case you don’t want that kind of emotions, there is a ferry boat service, which is very nice and fun also.

Sometimes airlines companies change their schedule due of season demand and expected weather conditions, have that in mind before planning your trip.
